It depends on the number of cameras and the size of the hard drive. Most systems we install keep around 30 days of footage before recording over the oldest.
You don't usually need planning permission. If your cameras record beyond your own property, such as the street or a neighbour's garden, UK data protection rules apply. We position cameras to cover what you need while respecting neighbours' privacy.
